The Cupertino High School Hall of Fame was founded in May of 1978 to honor its successful graduates of the school's first 20 years. Since that first ceremony, the tradition has continued until the present. Bill Boggie, long-time history teacher, was the catalyst in making the Hall of Fame bloss into one of the truly unique traditions of CHS. With nearly 100 students enshrined and 10 Honorary Members, the Hall of Fame offers a cross section of "Tino's Best". Unlike many other schools, CHS's version honors more than athletes. Two of the best known inductees are Kurt Rambis (former Los Angeles Laker and two-time Mercury News High School Player of the Year) and Ross McGowan (long time newsman in the Bay Area). But the Hall also includes lawyers, doctors, teachers, coaches, dotcom founders, and even a Brigadier General. Once a yearly tradition, the Hall of Fame now happens once every other year. Since 2002, CHS Alum, Wes Morse has served as the coordinator.

Bill Boggie's dedication to CHS and its history made him a worthy "Honorary Graduate" when he was inducted in 2002.
