Melanie Weispfenning was inducted by classmate and long time friend Steve Kaye. Melanie was the first and only female CCS Champion in 40 years. After winning the beam competition with a 9.5, Melanie earned a scholarship to Cal Poly Pomona. She was forced to abandon her scholarship after being diagnosed with cancer. She beat cancer and earned a scholarship from SJSU just 2 years later. Today she co-owns Airborne Gymnastics in Santa Clara.
